On top Jon has been using the latest 2012 Pro-Line Bulldog bodyshell, paired with the Upgrade Vortex wing. The Vortex wing has been favoured by most of the team throughout the season on buggy and truggy chassis’. Pro-Line’s Truggy specific VTR wheel, tyre and insert combination were the only choice combining excellent traction with light weight for the very best in handling and speed. Look out for the new Fastrax Twister-T spike tyre for astro turf to be available soon to fit this VTR wheel combination.

Truggies are hard on servos and Savox’s powerful SC1268 high voltage, high torque; steel geared servos control both the steering and throttle. This area is further strengthened with Fastrax’s latest machined aluminium servo horns. Jon’s truggy has been powered all season by the RB engine range, which has performed like no other to propel the truggy to this championship win, with a combination of raw power and ultimate fuel efficiency.

For all weather racing Jon choose the compact waterproof air filter from Fastrax to protect his RB engine. With everything else being standard you can really be up to race pace with the RC8T in no time at all.

Some of the latest set-ups from Jon will shortly be available for the RC8T via the CML website here. Series results can be found here and we would also like to give a mention of Jon’s partner in crime Lloyd ‘Pitty’ Pitt who you will see finished third overall – that’s puts the Team Associated RC8T at 1st & 3rd in the National Championship and I am sure we all will agree that is a result they can be proud of.

With the truggy national dates being released for 2013, and people already booking in, the season and renaissance of truggies in the UK is moving nicely forward. We wish the team, and all who are involved with this great RC8T platform the best for this coming season.
